Telecom, soon to be Spark New Zealand, announced today it intends to launch new 4G services in late August that will extend and accelerate the rollout of high speed mobile broadband across New Zealand.
Telecom’s ICT services division Gen-i said today it has entered into an agreement with Telstra that will enable the company to leverage Telstra’s services in Australia for the benefit of its New Zealand customers.

The Government has announced today the completion of the assignment round of the 700 MHz radio spectrum auction process. This final round was to determine the location (frequency) within the spectrum band for the differing lots of spectrum purchased by Telecom, 2Degrees and Vodafone during earlier auction rounds.
