Telecom is working actively and openly with the Government on its stock-take of telecommunications regulation, the company said today.

“Along with other players in the sector, and customers, we want the best outcomes for New Zealand,” Telecom Public Affairs and Government Relations Manager John Goulter said today.

“We share the Government’s goal of affordable broadband for all New Zealanders.

“The broadband market has developed strongly in the last year and we see it developing further this year – helped by lower prices and higher speeds.

“Telecom is keen to work with the industry, wholesale customers, the Government and others to ensure the best services and options for end customers throughout New Zealand,” Mr Goulter said.
