XT UPDATE – 3PM

Telecom has advised that work to restore XT mobile service in the lower South Island continues.

Sites are being brought back online one by one, and being thoroughly tested. Throughout the morning the number of affected sites has decreased and service is being progressively restored.

The remaining sites without service are in the lower South Island.

Further media statements on the XT situation will be given throughout the day.
