TELECOM RESTORING AUCKLAND 111 SERVICES

26 February 2010

Return to index

Telecom has worked to restore an intermittent fault that affected emergency calls from mobile and landlines in the Auckland region early this morning.

The majority of calls to 111 emergency services are now being connected as normal.

There are some residual issues for callers in some parts of Auckland.

Any callers still experiencing issues should call their local police station or 571 2800 and their call will be forwarded from there.

Telecom’s 111 call centre representatives have been calling back any phone numbers that attempted a call to 111 emergency services, but failed, to ensure no genuine calls were missed.

Further updates will be provided.
