Telecom is pleased to announce that from 17 April 2012 a range of its mobile devices will feature in Warehouse Stationery stores throughout the country.

Chief Marketing Officer, Jason Paris says the move is part of Telecom’s mobile strategy to increase Telecom’s retail footprint and points of presence across New Zealand.

“Our mass market retailer partnerships are a crucial sales channel for us, and with the 55 Warehouse Stationery stores nationwide, this partnership gives us the ability to drive a stronger market share in the regions.

“With the increase of smartphones, people are choosing devices on our Smartphonenetwork™ as it is a 100% 3G network specifically built for smartphones, and as the only mobile provider in Warehouse Stationery stores with live devices, customers can try this network experience firsthand before purchasing.

“This will also provide our CDMA customers with another option to make the switch from the older CDMA network to XT, in time for the network closure on 31 July this year,” says Mr Paris.

Warehouse Stationery Merchandise Manager, Dean Kippenberger, is looking forward to having Telecom on board. “Warehouse Stationery is already the preferred supplier of office equipment for most small businesses, so we are delighted to add Telecom’s great range of business-friendly phones to satisfy our business customer needs,” Mr Kippenberger says.

Twenty key Warehouse Stationery stores will be giving away a limited number of free mobile devices and Telecom prepaid top-up vouchers to selected Classic Hits radio station listeners who are present at the store launches (see below).

The roll-out to all 55 Warehouse Stationery stores will be completed by 14 May 2012.
